In your group you will find like-minded people, be able to communicate with other project participants and the master reviewer – a professional writer and your personal consultant.
The group moderator will be your main helper, who will help you understand all the nuances of learning.
You will receive reviews of your assignments, and if you wish, you will be able to discuss your writing with your classmates.
The course duration is 2 months.

Course Program

1 WEEK
THE RIGHT TO WRITE. THE TECHNIQUES OF “CAPTURING” AND “IMMERSION”.
What do only I know about? What does writing fiction prose provide? Writer’s blocks: how to remove them. Our reader. Should we think about him? The five senses and their life in the text.

WEEK 2
THE IDEA
Where to look for it? Can we do without it? The viability of an idea and methods of its resuscitation. Idea-content and idea-form. Artistic means – expressors of the idea. Is it necessary to be guided by the modern agenda?

WEEK 3
THE MAIN HERO. SECONDARY HEROES.
How do you make a hero alive? What makes up his image? How can we help the reader fall in love with him or her? What do we need to know about our hero? Biography. “Problem, desire, obstacles.”

WEEK 4.
DETAIL FUNCTIONS.
What is a detail for? Types of parts in a text. A key detail, a character detail, and a chain of details. The interaction of the part and the character.

5 WEEK
DIALOGUES
Dialogue in real life and on paper. Why do we need dialog? What makes a dialogue fascinating? Rules of dialogue and rules of silence. The possibilities for dialogue in the text.

6 WEEK
TEXT COMPOSITION
What determines a story, and what does it consist of? Types of conflicts. How to begin, what to do in the middle, and how to finish? Ciphers and compositional intrigue.

WEEK 7.
ENERGY AND TENSION. CHRONOTOP
Sources of energy in the text. Theme as a magnet. What is killing the energy? How to change the tempo and how to create tension? Space and time. How to trace the movements of the characters? Techniques for working with the chronotope.

8TH WEEK
EDITOR .
Stages of editing. General rules of text editing. How to step back and look at a work with fresh eyes. Levels of editing. What not to do. Criticism.

9 WEEKEND
PUBLICATION
Where and how to publish. Literary agencies, magazines, publishing houses, electronic publishing. Literary awards.
