The Tommy Hilfiger rumors bear a remarkable resemblance to rumors about other designers. The alt.folklore.urban FAQ says:

  • F. On "Oprah" designer Liz Claiborne said her clothes were not designed for black women because their "hips were too big".
  • F. On "Oprah" designer Liz Claiborne said she supports the KKK.

[Note: 'F.' in the FAQ's parlance means false.]
