Dennis Muleady, the marketing director for the local Bakersfield Budweiser distributor, says the incident never happened.

Like the Dunkin' Donut boycott, this email plays on our sense of outrage at the events of September 11. Unlike other outrage emails, it burnishes the reputation of the Budweiser corporation and distributor but does so by playing up unfortunate stereotypes.
