She maintains her -sister has it on tape, because her sister watches every Oprah and tapes -them.
• Pressed for details, she said it supposedly happened a year ago, and -that when she admitted it, Oprah was wearing a Liz Claiborne suit. They -quickly cut to a commercial, and when they came back, Liz was gone and -Oprah was wearing a bathrobe.
• I told her that I'd tell AFU about it, and prove her wrong. Anybody -have any details? Anybody actually seen this?

We can "prove her wrong" to the same extent that you did; by noting that there was no such incident on "Oprah." Since this person who is at least a FOAF from you claims to have it on tape, get her to find it and show you (or look for it with her). Hell, if they're going to tape "Oprah," they ought to at least have all the guests indexed.

The burden of proof is on her. Since she claims to have the evidence, it's a simple case of "put up or shut up." Considering what people claim to have remembered from watching TV (e.g., Captain Pugwash, Carson and Eubanks' stories, etc.), her lame claim to "evidence" means nothing at this point.

There're two more points:

1. The other Liz Clairborne UL was that:

      "On 'Oprah' designer Liz Clairborne said her clothes were 
       not designed for  black women because their "hips were 
       too big".

If both events were true, why would "Oprah" have invited her back again?

2. If the above really did happen, Oprah would almost certainly

qualify for not having hips that would fit in Liz's line. Therefore the story you cited couldn't have happened.
