The Wizard of Oz Munchkin Suicide

Legend has it that a munchkin was driven to suicide by misery resulting from an unrequited passion for another munchkin. In other versions, the actor didn’t …

Urban Legends: Final Cut

At the renowned film school Alpine University, one senior student is awarded the esteemed Hitchcock Award for the best thesis film each year. A down-to-earth documentary film student Amy Mayfield wants to take a crack at the Hitchcock. During a chance meeting with the new campus security guard Reese, Amy is inspired by the story of an urban legend at Reese’s former place of employment, Pendleton University. Deciding to break away from documentaries, Amy’s thesis film will be a work of fiction about urban legends. After writing the script, story boarding the shots and casting her actors, Amy and her crew prepare to roll camera. When Amy’s film crew starts falling prey to fatal “accidents,” she questions where fiction ends and truth begins. When all the dots start to connect back to her, she realizes she must unmask the killer before she becomes an urban legend.

Well depends where you live and what form of colloquial language your culture has. In Australia, most of us say hung but I guess it might be different in other nations

I’m actually from Australia. You aren’t wrong when you say most of us say hung, but you don’t take in to consideration that most Australians are shit at their own language.

Hanged, as a past tense and a past participle of hang, is used in the sense of “to put to death by hanging,” as in Frontier courts hanged many a prisoner after a summary trial. In all other senses of the word, hung is the preferred form as past tense and past participle, as in I hung my child’s picture above my desk.

That bird slept with Louis B Mayer to get a better part then was disrupting the scene it found out it was just an extra.

Hey assholes… in the original it’s clear that there’s a body swinging back and forth slowly….. not a fucking bird.. that’s the remastered version

I still believe it was a munchkin….i’ve watched the original and there’s no way that was bird and the bird in the remastered version witch is the real “edited” version was a lot further to the left then the body….But that leaves me to ask myself how could no one have seen this.

it was a big crane like bird flapping it’s wings. I have a movie projector & I watched this w/ a friend & clearly you can see it’s the bird expanding it’s wings

Think about it how did Judy Garland & the rest of the cast not notice a hanging munkin as they were going Tra la la down the set? I’ve even heard that it was girl that was promised the part of Dorothy but she didn’t get it so she hung her self.

I actually heard about this urban legend before 2011. There is another interesting think I heard about the Wizard of Oz.. That if you play Pink Floyd’s Dark Side of the Moon with the Wizard of Oz. They’re in sync.

nope actualy not, the orignal it does look like someones have hanged himself, but in the newer version they removed that with editing and added the big bird instead.

What I heard was the director hung himself but no one knew where his body was so they had to keep filming maybe because of all the money it took for the movie. Well I was told that the director hung himself cause of the comments that the movie was probably gonna be bad and terrible and ect. Later the makers kept going through the footage after the movie came out and noticed the hanging person.
