Chris Tarrant (some British TV 'personality', apparently) told a story in _The Independent_ about how Phil Collins was on his music quiz show, and was unable to recognize a snippet of lyric from a pop song. Imagine Phil's surprise and embarrassment when the song was revealed as being one of his own, "In the Air Tonight", ho ho ho.

I don't doubt his voracity, necessarily, but I wonder at Collins' mental endowments. The song is an interminable and disagreeable moaning, and that is in no small measure due to the fact that its author seems to have put only one line in the whole damn thing.
