Today's San Jose Mercury News (Sunday June 19 1994), on page 4B, describes a young thug known as CC Hicks, recently arrested for murder. This wretch had an impoverished background: his step-father was found drugged and slain, hanging from a tree when CC was 12. His mother was just 13 years old when she gave birth to CC.

She nicknamed him "CC" according to the paper because "no one could say his name Caezarian, which is pronounced 'Say-zer-ee-an'."

I suppose a thirteen-year-old mother either thought this was a neat gag, or did not know the usual spelling of "caesarian."
