I was perusing the articles in the 'sex' directory over at cathouse.org and came across 'drug.yawn.cause.orgasm'. In it, the drug clomipramine (used to treat obsessive/compulsive disorder) is credited with the side-effect of enabling some users to experience orgasms when yawning. Mention is also made of this drug's seemingly contradictory ability to forestall premature ejaculation.
While researching a paper for a psychology class I was taking in 1988, I found numerous letters and papers in various medical journals attributing similar side-effects to the drug fluoxetine, bettern known as Prozac.
The vast majority described the onset of anorgasmia (inability to orgasm) in women taking this drug; exactly two described the opposite effect. In both, women taking the drug began to experience excessive yawning (several times per minute) within 30 to 45 minutes of ingestion and lasted for several hours. Many or most of the yawns were accompanied by orgasm.
In one of the papers the doctor described bringing the woman in for further testing, at which time a detailed investigation into the phenomenon was made. This included varying the dosage and confirming that the orgasms were taking place without direct stimulation of the genitals (the patient's, that is).
I will dig up the references and the articles themselves if there's sufficient interest (that is, the cathouse entry on this topic will be expanded).
ObUL: T. In Japan, they so "go" instead of "come".
