The Chevy Northern Virginia

The Chevy Nova sold quite well in Mexico and other Spanish-speaking countries, in part because "Nova" means new in Spanish.

Nor were the General Motors executives clueless gringos. They were aware that the name could be translated as "no go," and were concerned. The concerns proved groundless though.

Debunked: The old Chevy Nova was a failure in Spanish-speaking countries because it translates to "No go."
