Dead Letter

The whole concept of the Cabbage Patch dolls was about the personal relationship you didn't buy one, you adopted one and it came with a birth certificate. They were also each purported to be unique. The hysteria peaked by the mid 1980s but you can still buy them (over 80 million sold as of 1996).

According to some versions the child is billed for funeral or hospital expenses.
