Stupid People Tricks

Hang fireThe Wizard of Oz (1939) an MGM musical starring a youngish Judy Garland was featured regularly on network TV as a prime time event for Thanksgiving (its first showing was on CBS television in 1956), becoming a classic American film institution and seen by more USAn's than you could shake a stick at.
At the beginning of the "We're off to see the wizard" sequence, there is a disturbance in the trees off to the right. Some people have alleged that it is a crew member or a Munchkin hanging himself that was not initally noticed and never removed. Closer examination of the film shows that it is a stork flapping its wings. |
