Unknown: US GI captures Iraqi soldier during Gulf War - they knew each other from Chicago.

While there were a number of newspaper reports found by Bo Bradham and his overworked assistant that featured this story Peter van der Linden called three reporters who said that they were merely reporting information told to them by other reporters.

TITLE: War Reunion for Iraqi, Midwest Soldier SOURCE: Chicago Tribune DATE: Feb 16, 1991 ABSTRACT: An Iraqi POW who had been an engineering student in Wheeling IL and visiting his father in Iraq when he was drafted into the Navy told Wheeling policeman and Sergeant Alan Jones that he knew him. Jones says the two must have passed each other often on the street.
