Debunked: A woman faints in a grocery store checkout line from what turns out to be hypothermia. She "froze her brain" trying to shoplift a frozen chicken by hiding it under her hat.

Most people who put a bag of ice on a bump on their head somehow manage to not get hypothermia or "frozen brain". Aside from imagining what sort of rasta tam this shoplifter would have been wearing that could have hidden a chicken, and how it could have held a frozen chicken firmly on her head, this is a basic "do not shoplift" morality tale that has several variants, many of which may very well have germs of truth. Sometimes it is an old man stealing a frozen steak under his hat, sometimes it is a woman fainting from the cold of having frozen food stuffed in her brassiere.
