In these days of CD-R and CD-RW, it almost seems laughable that people had these sorts of bizarro ideas about digital sound reproduction, but then one runs across a page like this, and one discovers that the capacity for people to fool themselves is deep, very deep.

In essence, digital content is either reproduced or it is not: the addition of analogue changes to the media does not change the content of the digital information.
