The Trojan BombDecoy fire sites were a feature of every German city, but Berlin is believed to have had fifteen such sites, including one particularly large one at Staaken, on the western approaches to the city, which was based on the sets of a pre-war film studio. One wartime schoolboy Flakhelfer asked me about the wartime rumor that one night several bombers separated from the main stream and dropped some wooden bombs on the Staaken decoy site!
