Documented: Women should wear a wetsuit when waterskiing/watersliding, to avoid mysterious and unpleasant injuries to their reproductive organs.

There are a number of case reports in the literature of vulvovaginal laceration from forceful water injuries - mainly waterchutes. Some of the injuries were serious. Wetsuit use would seem prudent.
