True: Tasmanian devils are not extinct. Whoopee.

Unfortunately, thylacines (Tasmanian Tigers) almost certainly are.

However, the march of science found a perfectly preserved thylacine foetus somewhere and is now attempting to clone it. So the species may yet become non-extinct again.
