No title

True: Sewer rats or other animals can come into the house and bite one's behind while on the potty.

This is true in principle. No actual instances of behind-biting by a rat are evident at this writing; snakes, however, turn up in toilets pretty commonly. A 1997 AP wire story reports an incident in Copenhagen in which a "python" (species unspecified) appeared in one apartment's toilet, but was sucked back into the plumbing when a nearby toilet flushed, reappearing periodically in different toilets around the building before being captured.

More prosaic versions of the story are quite common; the Washington Post's "Animal Watch" column of June 29, 2000 reported a Burmese python found in a toilet on June 9, to choose an example among many. In most of these stories it's hard to tell for sure whether the animal arrived through the pipes or simply crawled into the toilet from the bathroom, but there have been cases where the pipes seemed like the easier route of access.
