BAY SHORE, N.Y. (Reuter) - A suburban New York high school student was killed Thursday when he stuck his head out a school bus window and smashed into a utility pole, police said.
Joseph McNulty, 17, of Bay Shore, N.Y., was declared dead on arrival at a nearby hospital following the accident, police said.
The accident occurred as the bus was leaving the campus of Bay Shore High School.
No charges were filed against the bus driver, police said. One
officer called it ``a tragic accident.''
