Contrary to popular belief, one does not get a start in Hollywood movies by starring in porn films. The only "close" examples are:

Sylvester Stallone - starred in at least a soft porn movie, Party at Kitty & Stud's. You get to see his erect weenie, but all available movies today have no actual filmed penetration. The current movie appears to be heavily edited, but one person on alt.sex.movies claims that he saw the original, and the "heavy editing" look was made to the movie in order to give the appearance that it had originally been a hardcore porn movie. Interesting angle. See PvdL's review on cathouse.

Traci Lords - "famous underage porn queen" who made all but one of her films whilst under 18. She's appeared in several episodes of "Married... with Children," had minor part in "Serial Mom" and several forgetable movies.

Marilyn Chambers - began her public career as the Ivory soap girl (hence the bottles of Ivory in several of her porn scenes.) Porn queen of the 70's who could do *anything* (check out "Never A Tender Moment" if you need details.) She walked around nude in some stupid "mainstream" movies. Says she is still interested in doing more adult films, but she's a mother now, and doesn't see that as a motherly activity.

Ginger Lynn - porn queen of the 80's now goes by the name Ginger Lynn Allen so she can appear as a hooker in a movie and get killed 30 seconds later ("Whore") and at least one episode of NYPD Blue. Was Charlie Sheen's girlfriend at the time he jumped the gun & admitted he was a client of Heidi Fleiss. Oops, list was never publicized.

Ashlyn Gere - what babe before the fake tits, oh sorry, back on topic: still doing adult films and had bit parts in at least two episodes of "The X Files." One of the few porn stars who can actually act.

Brandy Alexandre - the "cutest butt in the business" is now starring in a newsgroup near you (alt.sex.movies). Actually, I haven't read asm in several months now, so I don't know if she's still around.
