I repost, without further ado, a bagatelle from March 1995.

This reminds me (how could it not?) of something from Legman's Second Series. While I'm at it, I'll quote from some nearby material (which I was going to mention in my review-in-preparation, since it put me in mind of gerbils). This is all from 11.III.i, the "Specialties" subsection of the "Tricks of the Trade" section of the "Prostitution" chapter of _The_Rationale_of_the_Dirty_Joke.

There is also the burning or killing of small animals
or other living creatures allowed to move on the
prostitute's body during intercourse... . The French
novelist, Proust, for example, is reported to have
habitually taken live mice with him to male-brothels,
which he would kill with needles on the boys' bodies
during homosexual intercourse. (Mice cost less than
        boys . . . [Legman's trailing-off dots.])

He segues to the joke that ends with the dialogue, "Is it really possible for you to piss through all that hair?" "Oh, yes." "Then you better begin now. You're on fire!", and continues

The elaborate politeness of the man's speech is
of course in counterpoint to the obvious hostility
of his act. The fact is that there is no accident
at all about his lighting the prostitute's pubic
hair: that is his perversion, for which he is
paying. Though not often discussed, this perversion
takes its place in the stupefying catalogue of
German slang terms as to prostitution and sexual
        perversion in Ernest Borneman's remarkable
        thesaurus of slang, _Sex_im_Volksmund_ ...
`... das Absengen [singeing] des Schamhaars,'
continuing with a slang synonmy of the tupes
of burns and instruments used. You really have
to be a German to appreciate this.
