One of my best mates in the whole world, Harry Teasley, bet me a pint that I couldn't start "Mateology" (pronounce Mate-oh-loh-gee) as a religion. I had to have alt.religion.mateology newgrp'd and receiving 10 posts a day by, oh, whenever I feel like it.

Ewan has been helping me by writing the Ten Commandments of Mateology (like, "Though shall love thy best mate's wife. But not in a rumpy pumpy way even though she be pert of breast for this way lies the end of mateyness for all time") and some of the early genesis chapters, but we've both been a bit bogged down recently with work and other committments so it hasn't got very far.

The anti-christ of Mateology is called "Matan" and (s)he's one evil son of a bitch. Not my best friend at all.
