At small airports, it's mostly golf courses. The airports usually have rules about turning quickly after takeoff to minimize noise over the links.

I once took a ride with a grizzled instructor, and started to turn as soon as I was clear of the runway. He took over, straightened out, and eased the stick forward, saying "Fuckem. They don't care if you crash. Do you care if they miss their putt?"
