Yes. This is a newsgroup, just one part of Usenet. This group has a history and a culture of its own. Wit and intelligence and good writing were held in high regard. Unfortunate names threads and their ilk are stupid and boring.

This is a bullshit argument. Fact is traffic here has increased enormously and most of the new stuff is, plain and simple, shit. Right now I spend more time figuring out killfile strategies than I do in enjoying myself. This is a sign to me that it may be time to move on. I don't like that prospect. I don't like the fact that something which used to be a source of enjoyment is turning out to be more work than it's worth. I hate the idiots who make it necessary. I detest the fools who believe that whatever they have to say is by definition worthwhile.

Maybe some morons have shut up. But they just keep coming. Free speech cuts both ways. If a lunkhead posts crap I have the right to call it crap. And crap _is_ crap. There are absolutes in this regard. There are standards. The weak and stupid, the lame and clueless, hide behind the free speech banner and take it as license to pollute AFU. They come in here and fart and belch and piss on the carpet and expect to be tolerated. Fuck them.

: anyhting.

Of course you will. You will post and post and post. Even if it's complete crap. Even if it's totally without merit. You will write your little articles and fling them into AFU and enjoy yourself and your free speech immensely.

Sod off.
