JOHANNESBURG: - AFU Independent, the unaffiliated South African distributor of AFU merchandise in Africa, has taken immediate steps to dissociate itself from a worldwide marketing campaign launched by AFU Inc in the USA and Afu Ltd in the UK.
I particular, it has drawn the attention of the public to an AFU Ltd statement that inlcues the comment:
>Other parts of "the Empire" will be expected to take whatever they're given
>from the UKoGBaNI and like it, as is normal corporate policy.
Since AFU material is not officially licensed in South Africa, AFU Independent reserves the right to alter received merchandise in whatever form it sees fit. Th benefit to the consumer is immediately obvious, as only enhanced versions of the AFU group's UL product range will be formally distributed here.
